Overview

Use this screen to complete Form PIT-RES, Page 1
,
and related worksheets. If the information transferred from UltraTax/1040 doesn't require additional data or coding, UltraTax/1040-DE only shows the information on the form and not on the input screen.
Enter interest and dividend income in the federal B&D, K1, and K1T screens. Use the links on the DEAdj screen to access these screens. State income and adjustments are calculated using the interest and dividend data entered in the statement windows in these federal screens. In those interest and dividend statements, you can indicate if data should be applied only to the federal return or only to the state return. In addition, the
State
and
In-State Source %
fields indicate which state should react to the data entered in the federal statements.
  • Enter
    F
    in the
    F/S
field to indicate that the item is for the federal return only.
  • Enter
    S
    in the
    F/S
    field and a non-
    DE
    postal code in the
    State
field to indicate that the data transfers only to the specified state and is ignored for federal purposes.
  • For Delaware source interest and dividends reportable on part-year and nonresident Delaware returns, you need to enter
    DE
    in the
    State
field in these federal statements. Also, you need to enter a percentage in the
    In-State Source %
field for interest and dividends reportable as DE source for nonresident DE returns.
  • Interest from Municipal obligations and US Obligations from a pass-through entity and reportable in the federal  K1 and K1T screens may be adjusted by new fields in the federal K1-St screen. If you enter data in these fields on the K1-St screen, the total of all K1 or K1T data for that income type is adjusted by the requested amount for that K1 or K1T. The state return uses the adjusted amount in its calculations. See the federal K1-St screen for additional information.
