Standard or itemized deductions (Force)
If you used the standard deduction on the federal return, UltraTax CS defaults to the Kansas standard deduction amount on Form K-40. If you used itemized deductions on the federal return, UltraTax CS optimizes between the recalculated Kansas itemized amount on the Itemized Deductions Worksheet and the Kansas standard deduction amount. Use this field to force either the itemized or standard method. This field is only available for data entry if the federal return has used the itemized deduction.
