Use the federal
ELF
screen to select electronic filing for all of this client's 1040 federal, state and local returns. Review state diagnostic messages for state-specific requirements and limitations when filing electronically.Use this screen to enter direct deposit and electronic funds withdrawal information for the tax return and the extension. Direct deposit and electronic funds withdrawal for the return, estimates, and the extension are available only when filing electronically.
Electronic Filing Information
This section displays the Louisville Metro account number of the entity being filed. The Louisville Metro Revenue Commission only gets electronically filed returns from entities with a valid, ten-digit account number.
Direct Deposit and Electronic Funds Withdrawal
Use this section to indicate the Louisville option for direct deposit and electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit). The LVOL-EFW worksheet shows details of the requested deposit or withdrawal. Direct deposit and electronic funds withdrawal are available only when filing electronically.

Use this field to request an electronic withdrawal of funds for a balance due return. If not enabled, no withdrawal will occur. Partial payments aren't accepted.
When electronic funds withdrawal is requested, the account number will need to be numeric. You can't use spaces, dashes or alpha characters.
Requested payment date
If filing on or before the original due date, the date of withdrawal defaults to the original due date. Use this field to request an earlier withdrawal date. If filing after the original due date, enter the anticipated filing date of the return.
The taxing agency will initiate a withdrawal request when the return has completed processing. The actual transfer of funds may occur on or after the requested date. Delays of several days aren't uncommon.
Estimated Payment Electronic Funds Withdrawal
Use these fields to enable electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) of estimated payments by typing the payment date in the field corresponding to the payment meant to be withdrawn. Electronic funds withdrawal is available only when filing the return electronically. Louisville doesn't get electronic payments of estimated tax with the e-filed extension.
Estimates without requested payment dates entered won't be electronically withdrawn.
Extension Payment Electronic Funds Withdrawal
Use this section to enable electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) for the extension. Electronic funds withdrawal is available only when filing the extension electronically.
Date of withdrawal
If filing on or before the original due date, the date of withdrawal defaults to the original due date. Use this field to request an earlier withdrawal date.
The actual transfer of funds may occur on or after the requested date. Delays of several days aren't uncommon.
Account Information
Bank information doesn't transfer from the federal
Bank
screen. Use this section to enter the account information. This account is used for all electronic funds withdrawals and is used in the refund allocation. Complete bank information is necessary and includes the routing transit number, name of financial institution, depositor account number and the type of account.Routing transit number
Enter a valid routing transit number. To meet filing requirements, a valid transit number will need to be nine numbers (no hyphens) with the first two digits within the range of 01-12 or 21-32. UltraTax CS will consider an account with an invalid routing transit numbers as incomplete and fire a diagnostic.
Accounts missing this information won't be used in either refund allocations or electronic funds withdrawal requests.
