State Residency Dates

Use this section to enter dates for part-year residents.
Part year residency dates
Enter the dates the taxpayer and/or spouse were residents of Louisiana in these fields.
Nonresident military spouse / Income qualifying for the military spouse exclusion
Use these fields to indicate which spouse qualifies as the nonresident military spouse and the amount of income to be excluded.

Nonresident Professional Athlete

Use this section to enter data needed to calculate Form IT-540B-NRA, Louisiana Nonresident Professional Athlete.
NRPA filer
When this field is marked, UltraTax/1040-LA calculates the return based on the rules for Nonresident Professional Athletes.
Professional sports association or league
Data entered in these fields will be used to calculate Louisiana Schedule NRA-1, Team Compensation and Duty Day Detail.
Team Compensation & Duty Days (Enter non-consecutive duty dates as "Various")
Enter data on a team-by-team basis. Enter non-consecutive duty days as "Various."
Other Louisiana source income
For nonresident professional athlete returns, use this field to enter all other Louisiana source income. Amounts entered in this field will be combined with the calculated amount shown on the Schedule NRA-1.

Use this section to adjust amounts in the State Amount columns on the Louisiana AGI Worksheet.
Schedule D (Force)
For part-year and nonresident returns, use these fields to enter an amount different from the calculated amount in the
State Amount

Form 4797 (Force)
For part-year and nonresident returns, use these fields to enter an amount different from the calculated amount in the

Schedule E (Force)
For part-year and nonresident returns, use these fields to enter an amount different from the calculated amount in the

columns of the Louisiana AGI Worksheet for the Rents, royalties line. UltraTax CS automatically calculates the in-state amounts for federal Schedule E.
Net operating loss carryover (Enter as a positive number)
For part-year and nonresident returns, use these fields only when completing the
State Amounts
columns of the Louisiana AGI Worksheet for the Net operating loss carryover included in the Other income line.
