Overview

Use this screen to complete Worksheet C, Maine Employee Apportionment Worksheet, for part-year and nonresident returns. The worksheet allocates taxpayer and spouse wages by days worked during the year.

General Information

Use this section to apportion wages for part-year residents. State wages with a postal code of
ME
are transferred to Worksheet C, Maine Employee Apportionment Worksheet, line 8.
Wages to be apportioned (Force)
Enter an amount in this field to override the calculated value. By default, the amounts of wages to be apportioned are amounts coded with postal code
ME
in the Wage Information section.
Non-working days
Enter the number of days that were nonworking in the appropriate fields. For part-year residents, enter only the number of days employed while a nonresident.
Total days during nonresident period worked outside Maine
Enter the number of days that the taxpayer worked outside of Maine during the nonresident period.
Total days during nonresident period worked in Maine (Force)
Enter the number of days that the taxpayer worked inside Maine during the nonresident period.
Days employed by employer (Force)
Enter the number of days employed by this employer if other than a full year.

Use this section to override calculated amounts.
