Overview
Enter information from the Certificate of Rent Paid. This information is used in conjunction with information entered in the MNPR screen to calculate Form M1PR as a renter and is included in electronically filed returns. Include the original signed Form CRP as an attachment to paper filed returns.
Certificate of Rent Paid
Use these fields to enter information from Form CRP Certificate of Rent Paid, received from the landlord.
Amount paid by medical assistance
Enter the amount from Form CRP line A. Medical Assistance covers medical expenses of low-income individuals.
Amount paid by Housing Support
Enter the amount from Form CRP line B. Housing Support pays room and board for low-income seniors and adults with disabilities, and was formerly known as Group Residential Housing.
Taxpayer or spouse
Select taxpayer or spouse, as identified on Form CRP. A separate Certificate of Rent Paid should be issued to each occupant.
Number of adults occupying unit
Enter the number of adults from Form CRP. Each adult occupant should receive their own Schedule CRP.
Property ID or parcel number
Use this field to enter the Property ID or Parcel Number (do not use special characters or spaces).
First name, last name, or / Business name
Enter either the business name or the first and last name of the owner. Only one is included in the electronically filed return.
Business Use Percentage
Percent of rental used currently for business
Enter percent of rental used for business to complete the Renter Worksheet for Schedule M1RENT.
