Overview

Use this screen to complete Forms 80-105 and 80-205, Pages 1 and 2, and to elect to override UltraTax CS optimization for married filing status 1.

UltraTax CS uses the information in this section to complete portions of Forms 80-105 and 80-205 and to answer various questions on the forms.
County of residence
Enter the taxpayer's county of residence. A fieldview is attached to this field listing the county names and their related codes. UltraTax CS defaults to county code 83 for nonresident returns.
Authorize discussion with tax department
Use this field to change the option indicated in the federal
1040
screen. A global default is available for all new clients for both federal and state returns. To select this option, select

Married filing status (Force)
UltraTax CS automatically optimizes between filing status married filing jointly and married filing combined. If you leave this field blank, UltraTax CS defaults to optimize between filing status married filing jointly and married filing combined.
Legally separated on last day of year
Mark this checkbox only if you were married but legally separated from your spouse on the last day of the tax year. UltraTax CS changes your filing status to single if you mark this checkbox.
Change filing status (Force)
UltraTax CS automatically calculates your filing status for you. Use this field to force your filing status if the status isn't married filing joint at the federal level.
Standard or itemized deduction (Force)
If you leave the field blank, UltraTax CS automatically optimizes between the standard deduction and the itemized deduction.
General footnote
o enter other information to be submitted with the return, enter information in the statement window. This schedule can be printed and attached to the return for informational purposes. The general footnote appears as a separate item in each collation.

Consumer Use Tax

If you made out-of-state purchases of goods or services that you used, stored, or consumed in Mississippi and didn't pay sales tax to any state, you're required to pay Mississippi Consumer Use Tax at a rate of 7 percent of the purchase price.

UltraTax CS uses the information in this section to complete portions of Form 80-105.

, enter the amount of voluntary contributions to be made to the Military Family Relief Fund, Burn Care Fund, Wildlife Heritage Fund, Educational Trust Fund, Wildlife Fisheries and Parks Foundation, or Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service Fund. UltraTax CS limits the contribution to the amount of net overpayment of tax.
