Overview

Use this screen to complete Form MO-1040, Individual Income Tax Return.

Return Information

Authorize discussion with tax department (If different from federal option)
Use this field to change the option indicated on the federal 1040 screen. A global default is available for all new clients for both federal and state returns. To use this option, select Setup, then 1040 Individual, then the Federal tab, then the New Client Options button, then from the drop-down list, select Yes for the
Authorize discussion with taxing authority
checkbox.
Social services application of eligibility
Use this field to mark the
Department of Social Services Application of Eligibility form is attached
checkbox on MO-1040. Refer to the following links for the applications.

100% Disabled (Force)
Taxpayers who are permanently disabled and filed a federal Schedule R are considered disabled for tax purposes. Select one or both fields if the taxpayer or spouse qualifies for 100 percent disability and permanent and total disability is not indicated on the federal Cr screen.
Receiving taxable social security disability payments
UltraTax CS calculates taxable Social Security from data entered on the federal SSA-1099  screen as a deduction on Form MO-A. Entering an
X
in this field reports the taxable Social Security as taxable Social Security disability payments.
Non-obligated spouse
Use these fields to indicate the non-obligated spouse, if applicable, on a joint return.
General footnote
Entries in this statement window proforma from the prior year. The general footnote is included in electronically filed returns and may be printed and attached to paper-filed returns. The general footnote appears as a separate item in each collation.

Contributions

Use this section to enter the amount that the taxpayer would like to contribute to the various funds. The amount will either decrease the refund or increase the balance due.
