Geothermal System Credit
Information in this section is used to calculate the Geothermal Systems Credit on Form ENRG-A.
Date, brand, and model of system installed / Installation cost
Enter the date of installation and the model/brand of the system. Carryover from prior years must be entered in the carryover section of this screen.
Alternative Energy System Credit
Information in this section is used to calculate the Alternative Energy Systems Credit on Form ENRG-B.
Date / Brand / Type of alternative energy system installed
Enter the date of installation, the model/brand of the system, and system type. Carryover from prior years must be entered in the carryover section of this screen.
Non-fossil energy generation / … / Non-fossil grants received
Enter information for non-fossil energy generation including any grants received. Investments designated as joint will split 50/50 between the taxpayer and spouse on Schedule V.
Low emission wood or biomass device / Low emission installation cost
Enter information for low emission wood or biomass devices, investments designated as joint will split 50/50 between the taxpayer and spouse on Schedule V.
Form ENRG-A and ENRG-B Carryover
Information entered in this section is used to complete Forms ENRG-A and ENRG-B carryover information. These amounts also transfer to the Energy Credits Carryover Worksheet and are limited according to the maximum amounts allowed.
ENRG-A / ENRG-B / Allowed Taxpayer / Spouse
Enter the total credit that was allowed for the designated year and complete the credits claimed section to determine the carryover available for the current year.
ENRG-A / ENRG-B / Claimed Taxpayer / Spouse
Enter the total credits that were used in the designated year or in subsequent years and complete the credits allowed section to determine the carryover available for the current year. Fully used credits won’t proforma to the following year.
