Overview

Use this screen to complete general information for Form NYC-202, Unincorporated Business Tax Return; Schedule A; Schedule B, Part 1; and Schedule F.
UltraTax CS automatically brings taxpayer and spouse information from federal Schedules C and F if the city code NYC is entered in the federal C and F screens.

Business code (Force)
UltraTax CS transfers the business code from federal Schedule C to Form NYC-202. If more than 1 Schedule C exists, UltraTax CS transfers the business code from the last-completed Schedule C for the taxpayer or spouse, respectively. Make an entry in this field only if you want to force (override) the transferred information.
New York State sales tax identification number
Enter the 9, 10, or 11-digit identification number. The entry appears on Form NYC-202.

Days in operation used to prorate exemption, if less than a full year
If the business wasn't in operation for the entire year, use this field to enter the number of days the business was in operation. UltraTax CS prorates the Form NYC-202, line 15 exemption by multiplying the full-year exemption by a fraction, calculated with the amount entered in this field as the numerator and the number of days in the year as the denominator.

NYC rent deducted on federal tax return or from Schedule C (force)
UltraTax CS automatically transfers the rent deducted on federal schedule C or rent from Schedule C, Part 1. Enter an amount in this field only if you want to force (override) the calculated amount.
Gross receipts or sales from Schedule C or Schedule C-EZ (Force)
UltraTax CS automatically transfers the gross receipts from Schedules C and F to complete the last field on the 1st page of Form NYC-202. Use this field to override the calculated amount.

Schedule B, Part 1 - Computation of Total Income

Use this field to enter the amount from Form NYC-114.9. Form NYC-114.9 is available in the Non Calc folder. The entry in this field is used to complete Form NYC-202, Page 1, line 22e.
Net profit from Schedules C or Schedule F (Force)
UltraTax CS transfers the net profit from Schedules C and F to Form NYC-202, Schedule B, Part 1, line 1. Enter an amount in this field only if you want to force (override) the transferred amount.
If the unincorporated business is allocating income using the separate books and records method, enter the allocated amount from that method in this field.
Number of Schedules C and F, if more than one

Enter the amount of gain or loss from the sale of business property that's to be used on this return.

Enter other business income reportable on Form NYC-202, Schedule B, line 5 in this statement window.
Net income from rental or gain from sale of real property located outside New York City
Amounts entered in the statement window are used to reduce (in the case of income) or increase (in the case of loss) income subject to unincorporated business tax. The amount appears on Form NYC-202, Schedule B, line 7.
