Additions and Subtractions

UltraTax CS uses the information in this section to complete Form ND-1.
Lump-sum distribution from federal Form 4972 (Force)
Use this field to override calculated amount from federal Form 4972 to be included on Form ND-1. UltraTax CS automatically transfers amount from federal Form 4972 to the respective North Dakota form.
Other subtractions
Enter codes and amounts for any additional deductions from federal taxable income in the statement window.
Qualified dividend exclusion (Force)
UltraTax CS uses the federal qualified dividend amount adjusted by North Dakota modifications. Use this field to force an amount for Form ND-1 if different than the calculated amount.

Earned income

This section concerns the Marriage Credit Worksheet.
Employer reimbursement for college expenses
Use this field to override the employer reimbursement of college expenses which are included in taxable wages. The calculated amount is from federal W2, Box 14 code 18. Amount will be included on Form ND-1SA.
Earned income: (Force) - Taxpayer / Spouse
Use these fields to override calculated amounts for the Marriage Credit Worksheet if income exceptions apply. An entry in one field requires entries in both fields. Amounts override the calculated numbers shown on the small worksheet following the Marriage Credit Worksheet.

Capital gain exclusion worksheet

UltraTax CS uses the information in this section to complete portions of Form ND-1.
Capital gains from ND-1, line 7 and 16 included on line 5 of the worksheet
Use this field to adjust the capital gain worksheet for the amount of long term capital gains already included on the amounts from ND-1 line 7 and 16.
