Add cities to the Ohio City Rates setup

You can add JEDD, JEDZ, or other taxing cities not included in the Ohio City Rates setup screen listing.
The generic city return supports the use of user defined city codes. There are ten fields,
User defined city #1 - 10
, that you can customize. Each field has an associated city code, ranging from ZZA to ZZJ.
To set up a taxing municipality as a user-defined city:
  1. In the
    Ohio City Gen
screen, go to the User Defined City Information section and enter the name of the taxing municipality in a user-defined city field, such as the
    User defined city #1
    field.
  2. Select
    Setup
    , then
    1040 Individual
    . Open
    Ohio Cities
    and select
    Rate
    .
  3. In the
    City name
drop-down field, select the same user-defined city from step 1. Note the associated three-letter city code; that code is what you will enter for the taxing municipality wherever a
    City code
    field is used.
  4. Enter the municipality’s tax rate, mailing address, and other applicable information in the fields of the Ohio City Rates dialog.
  5. Select
    OK
    to save the entries, then
    OK
again to close the 1040 Product Information dialog.
