Overview
Use this screen to complete Form PA-40 Schedule F, Farm Income and Expenses or Farm Rental Income and Expenses. Amounts on the PAF screen automatically transfer from the federal F screen. It's important to report any state-related law differences and details in the PAF screen.

- For part-year and nonresident returns, amounts entered in the federal F screen are multiplied by instate percentage upon transfer to this screen if applicable.
General Information
City
If filing a Pennsylvania city return, enter the 3-digit Local city code, the three-letter code for Pittsburgh (PGH) or the 3-letter code for Philadelphia (PHL). Form PA-40 Schedule F income and expenses transfer to that city's return. For more information on setting up 3-digit local city codes, see 1040-PA Local Cities Setup dialog.
Pennsylvania Agricultural activity code
Enter the state agricultural activity code. The Pennsylvania code doesn't conform to the federal code. This field is required for electronic filing.
Nonresident Apportionment
This is available only to part-year residents and nonresidents of Pennsylvania. To generate Schedule NRH for this activity, enter
X
in the Filing Form NRH
field. Complete the 2 statement windows to supply the business information and apportionment factors.If the multistate allocation spreadsheet is used at the federal level to allocate a Schedule F, the NRH fields are disabled for that Schedule F, and any information entered in the statement windows attached to

Cancellation of debt (Force)
UltraTax CS brings in the cancellation of debt from the federal Cancellation of Debt Worksheet, columns A, B and C. When more than 1 1099C is present, UltraTax CS brings in the total reported amount for this activity. Use this field to enter another amount if different than the ones calculated. The force field will override the 3 separate amounts and the description of
Cancellation of debt
will be used in the statement for Other Income.
