Screen PAAuto - Pennsylvania Automobile Expenses (1040)
Overview
Use this screen to complete automobile information. All depreciation and amortization information transfers directly into the PAAuto screen from the UltraTax CS fixed asset module and then transfers to the relevant forms.
- UltraTax CS provides a global option to specify how to enter asset information. It can be entered in the fixed asset module or in the various depreciation screens. When the fixed asset module is used as the method of asset data entry, this screen isn't applicable and the depreciation tab for this screen doesn't appear. For more information, use the online help in UltraTax CS.
- To override depreciation or amortization amounts on the relevant forms without using the fixed asset module, enter the information in this screen.

When auto information is entered in the fixed asset module and manually entered information in the federal Auto screen, the amounts in the
Interest and taxes
and Depreciation
fields don't transfer to UltraTax/1040-PA on the manually created units. The data must be re-entered for those 2 fields in this screen. If auto information was entered in the fixed asset module exclusively, or if the federal Auto screen was created manually exclusively, all information transfers to the UltraTax/1040-PA.
