Account Information

To prevent unintended IRA premature withdrawal penalties or excess contributions, account information doesn't transfer from the federal Bank screen for an IRA. If a deposit to an IRA is intended, enter that account information in this screen. An IRA can't be selected for electronic funds withdrawal.
Spouse fields are only used for electronically filed split returns.
Name of financial institution
This field is used in filing instructions and forms to help identify the account.
Routing transit number
Data entry in this field is required in order to consider the account information complete for UltraTax/1040 processing. If this field is left blank, the account won't be used. The routing transit number must be 9 digits with the first 2 digits within the range of 01-12 or 21-32.
Depositor account number
Data entry in this field is required in order to consider the account information complete for UltraTax/1040 processing. If this field is left blank, the account won't be used. The account number may include digits and letters. Omit spaces, hyphens, and other special characters.
Type of account
Data entry in this field is required in order to consider the account information complete for UltraTax/1040 processing. If this field is left blank, the account won't be used. Select the type of account from the dropdown list.

Non-US financial institution (International ACH transaction)
There are regulations affecting international electronic funds transfers processed though the automated clearing house (ACH) network. A domestic ACH transaction is a direct deposit to or withdrawal from an account in a U.S. financial institution. An international ACH transaction (IAT) is a direct deposit to an account in a U.S. bank that automatically forwards the refund to an account in a foreign financial institution, or a withdrawal from a U.S. bank account that receives the funds for that transaction from a foreign account. The account owner will know when an international transfer account has been established for them.
Enter
X
if the account identified is used for an IAT. Because state agencies can't process an IAT, UltraTax CS suppresses the direct deposit or electronic funds withdrawal when this field is marked. This suppression is noted in the diagnostic messages and the account information is omitted from forms, client documents, and electronic returns. State agencies are tallying how many international transactions they'll need to support in future years so the return will indicate that an IAT was requested.

529 College Savings Plan

Use this section to enter information to have part or all of the refund deposited into Pennsylvania 529 College Savings Program Accounts.
Contributions
A fieldview is produced in the Account column of the statement window from information entered on each unit of the federal 1099Q screen with a
PA
postal code,
24
in the
State use
field and an account number entered. The fieldview will contain the
Account number
and
Beneficiary's first and last name
as entered on the federal 1099Q screen. If a fieldview item contains the words
Invalid Number
, the account number isn't 11 digits long. Enter an 11 digit account number on the federal 1099Q screen for that beneficiary. One account number can be used in both the
Taxpayer
or
Spouse
statement window, but in either statement don't enter the same account number twice.
Enter the amount of the 529 contribution. The contribution is limited to the available refund on the return. When charitable contributions and a 529 contribution are both made on a return, UltraTax CS will apply the available refund first to the 529 contribution and any remaining refund will be applied to the charitable contributions.
