Overview

Use this screen to complete Form E2, Philadelphia Annual Reconciliation of Employee Earnings Tax Return.

W-2 General Information

Exclude income
UltraTax CS automatically transfers all W-2 information to this screen. UltraTax CS includes all wages and withholding that use a
PHL
city code. If the amounts in this screen shouldn't be included in the calculation of the earnings tax return, this field must be marked.
Wage tax refund petition
By default, the Annual Reconciliation of Employee Earnings will calculate when there are wages coded to PHL in Box 20 of the federal W2 screen. To calculate the Refund Petition instead, select a code in this field.
Occupation (Force)
UltraTax CS automatically uses the occupation entered in the federal 1040 screen to update all units of Form Wage Tax Refund Petition. Enter an occupation in this field to override the occupation being used by UltraTax CS on a unit by unit basis.

Federal W-2 Information

Start date/End date
Enter the start and end employment dates for the employer when not a full year. UltraTax CS uses these dates to determine the amount of income that was earned for the 1st half of the year and 2nd half of the year. These dates are also used in combination with the part-year residency dates to determine how much income was earned while a resident and a nonresident of Philadelphia.

Days Worked Allocation

An entry is required in this section to calculate the Non-Resident Employee Earnings Allocation and/or Deductible Employee Business Expenses Report for employees paid on a salary basis. For a resident return, the number of non-work days is the minimal data entry required to calculate this report. The number of days employed in the year defaults to 365 or 366 as applicable.

Sales Allocation

An entry is required in this Section to calculate the Non-Resident Employee Earnings Allocation and/or Deductible Employee Business Expenses Report for employees paid on a commission basis.
