Use this section to complete portions of Form IT-140.
County of residence
The county is used only on Form SCTC-1 in the return. If this form is not needed in the return, then this field can be left blank.
Second line of address
West Virginia allows for a second line of an address field. The federal address information is all contained in the 1st line on the West Virginia form.
If the taxpayer is a surviving spouse:

Qualified for surviving spouse deduction
In addition to entering

for the year the spouse died, mark this box if the taxpayer meets all the conditions for the one-time surviving spouse deduction on Schedule M.
Amount of earned income received for low-income exclusion (Force)
Use this field to enter the earned income received during the current year. For , the exclusion is calculated if the amount of federal adjusted gross income is less than $10,000 ($5,000 on married filing separate returns).
Authorize discussion with state taxing authority
Use this field to change the option indicated in the federal
1040
. A global default is available for all new clients for both federal and state returns. To select this option, select
