Overview

Use this screen, along with the
WIFC&H
screen, to enter information to complete Schedule H.

General Information

Enter information in these fields to complete a portion of the questions at the top of Schedule H, Page 1.
Personal use percentage (Force)
If you leave this field blank, UltraTax CS uses the percentage of business use calculated in the Wisconsin version of federal Form 8829 or the Wisconsin Business Use of Your Home Worksheet. Use this field to enter a percent for Wisconsin that is different from the calculated percentage. This information is used on Schedule H, Schedule 2, Allowable Taxes / Rent - Home Used Partly for Purposes Other Than Farm or Personal Use.
Dates occupied home purchased / sold during - From / To
Enter dates home was occupied or sold during the tax year. This information is important for e-filers; it transfers to the Property Tax / Sale of Home Information form.

Household Income

UltraTax CS uses information entered in this section to partially calculate the Household Income portion of Schedule H. If you enter information in the
Wages
,
interest
,
dividends
, and
Additional items of income
field in this section, UltraTax CS
does not
use any information entered in the
Date return previously filed
or
Income
fields.
Income
Use this field only if the taxpayer has already filed a current-year Wisconsin income tax return. If you enter an amount in this field, UltraTax CS uses it rather than the calculated amount for Form 1, Page 1.
Wages, interest, dividends, and additional items of income (When no return filed)
Use this field to enter wages, interest, dividends, and additional items of income only if the taxpayer is not required to file a current-year Wisconsin income tax return. If the taxpayer is married, combine the amounts for both taxpayer and spouse and enter the total.
Section 179 expense and other depreciation
Use this field to force amounts for depreciation and section 179 expense that are different from the calculated amounts. Don’t include amounts for partnerships and tax-option S Corporation shareholder’s distributive share. If the taxpayer is married, combine the amounts for both taxpayer and spouse.
Standard mileage depreciation
Use this field if you want UltraTax/1040-WI to use information other than the federal standard mileage rate from a business, farm, or rent schedule. Enter the deduction amount if it differs from the standard.
