General information

UltraTax CS provides a global option so that you can specify how you want to enter asset information. You can enter it either in the fixed asset module or in depreciation input screens.
If you specify that you want to use the fixed asset module as the method of asset data entry, this input screen isn't needed and the
Depreciation
tab for this input screen doesn't appear.
If you're not using the fixed asset module and want to replace depreciation or amortization amounts on the relevant form(s), enter the information in this input screen. UltraTax CS produces Wisconsin versions of the supporting federal forms to show detail for all Wisconsin gain and loss from sale of business property transactions.
Treatment (A code should be entered for all assets not in the asset module)
The force code describes the nature of the asset and tells UltraTax CS where to transfer this information. If you don't want to use the fixed asset module, enter a force code based on the nature of the asset.
State does not conform to section 179 QRP treatment
UltraTax CS marks this box to indicate that the corresponding federal sale of section 179 QRP doesn't apply for state purposes, so the sale isn't reported. The screen is completed for consistency with the corresponding federal screen unit.
