General Information
Estate / trust name (Force)
Only the first 10 characters of the estate name entered on the federal 1041 screen appear on Forms D-407, Page 2; D-407TC, and NC-478, Page 2. Use this field to override the estate name. This prevents "Estate of" displaying as the legal / last name on these forms.
Use special allocations for beneficiary amounts
If you allocate income to beneficiaries by specific income types on the federal return, enter

to use the special allocation method for income and adjustments on the state return. If this field is blank, adjustments and income allocate according to each beneficiary’s share of distributable net income.
