General Information

Suppress Georgia electronic file when filing federal return electronically

to suppress the Georgia electronic file when filing the federal return electronically. The Georgia electronic file can also be suppressed in the federal ELF screen. Suppress the Georgia electronic file in the federal ELF screen if there are multiple states attached that accept electronic returns and UltraTax CS should not create any state electronic files. If no state electronic files should be created for any client, there is a global federal setting for new clients, available in the New Client Options. Go to
Setup
and select
1065 Partnership
. On the Federal tab, select
New Client Options
, then go to the Other tab.
Signed Form 8453P has been received

if you have received a signed Georgia Form GA-8453P. UltraTax CS uses this information to determine what appears in the filing instructions. UltraTax CS automatically transfers the selection entered in this field to the Electronic Filing Status dialog, and the option selected in the
Signature Document
field in the Electronic Filing Status dialog transfers to this field.

UltraTax CS suppresses the printing of Georgia Form GA-8453P if a signed copy of the form has been received. If a signed copy has been received, go to Setup, Office Configuration, then the Print Options tab, and mark the
Always print Form 8879 (etc.), regardless of signature status

Signature date of partner signing return if different from federal Screen ELF
Enter the date Form GA-8453P is signed by the partnership representative. If this field is blank, UltraTax CS uses the signature date of the partner signing the return in the federal ELF screen for Form GA-8453P and as the date signed in the Georgia electronic file. Enter a date in this field if the federal return is not being filed electronically or the Georgia signature date is different than the federal.

When Form 8879 (etc.) signature date(s) (Preparer and/or Client) are not entered:

Signature date of electronic return originator (ERO), if different
Enter the date Form GA-8453P is signed by the ERO (electronic return originator). If this field is blank, UltraTax CS uses the Georgia signature date of the partner signing the return for Form GA-8453P, if it exists. Otherwise, UltraTax CS uses the signature date of the ERO or partner signing the return in the federal ELF screen. Enter a date in this field if the federal return is not being filed electronically or the Georgia signature date is different than the default.

Business Representative Information

UltraTax CS defaults the business representative to the federal return. Use this section if the Georgia business representative information is different. Georgia requires both a first and a last name.
