R0000-145-08 e-file error

For a return filed for tax year 2019, the tax period ending date in the Return Header must be [ one of following values ("20191231", "20200131", "20200228", "20200331", "20200430", "20200531", "20200630", "20200731", "20200831", "20200930", "20201031", "20201130") OR (1-3 days after the beginning of the month) OR (1-6 days before the end of the month) ] unless one of the following is true: 1. checkbox "Final Return" is checked. 2. checkbox "Initial Return" is checked. 3. return is a short year return, i.e., difference between the tax period beginning date and tax period ending date is less than 12 months.
This happens when the tax period end date is incorrect.

Solution

  • Go to the
    General
    input screen.
  • Open the
    1120
    screen and verify the following:
    • If this return is a final return, mark the
      Final return
      checkbox.
    • If this return is an initial return, mark the
      Initial return
      checkbox.
    • If this return is a short year return, check the dates entered in the
      Year End Information
      section.
  • If you made corrections, recreate and retransmit the e-file. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
  • Check that you're entering the return in the correct version of UltraTax CS. Match up the version of the program with the tax year beginning.
