Import apportionment information from Excel

Use the Excel Import tool to import apportionment information quickly and efficiently from a Microsoft Excel workbook to the UltraTax CS/1120 Apportionment Information window.
Before you can import apportionment information from Excel, you need to begin with an Excel spreadsheet that was previously exported from UltraTax CS.
  1. Save the Excel workbook before importing the spreadsheet into UltraTax CS. This ensures that all recent changes are imported.
  2. Open the UltraTax CS client.
  3. Select
    Utilities
    , then
    1120 Excel Import
    .
  4. Enter the path to the Excel file location in the
    Look in
    field.
  5. Enter the Excel file name in the
    File name
    field. The default file name is the same as the client ID.
  6. Select
    Apportionment Data
    in the Information group section.
  7. Select
    Import
    .
