UltraTax CS uses the income (loss) amounts from the
NOL
window to find income from a previous year. You carry back the net operating loss for the current year to reduce these amounts.When returns from the prior year were successfully proforma'd to the current year, UltraTax CS fills in data in the
Carryovers
folder on the NOL
window. If there's no prior-year income to offset, UltraTax CS doesn't calculate Form 1139.note
If the return wasn't completed in the prior year, you'll need to complete the regular tax fields manually.
