Shareholder Information > Arizona tab

Use the state tabs in the
Shareholder Information
window to enter state-specific information for shareholders. State tabs appear only if you've added states to the return.
To update a shareholder's state-specific information, select the shareholder in the
Shareholder Information
window, then the appropriate state tab.

Fields and buttons — Arizona information group box

If the shareholder is a nonresident, enter a code from the following table or select the code from the dropdown list to indicate the type of nonresident filing to be made by the shareholder. If the shareholder is a nonresident, UltraTax CS defaults to Individual return filer, indicating the nonresident shareholder will file their own individual return.

Select this code to indicate the corporation is filing a composite return on behalf of the nonresident shareholder. If you select

for 10 non-resident shareholders, UltraTax CS completes Form 140NR - Arizona Nonresident Personal Income Tax Return.
Mark this checkbox if the shareholder opts-out of the pass-through tax . If this checkbox is marked, UltraTax CS does not calculate based on residency Schedule K-1, Part 5, Lines 8, 10 and 12 or Schedule K-1(NR), Part 5, Lines 8, 10 and 12.
The shareholder's resident state is displayed in this field.
Enter the state in which the shareholder was a part-year resident. Use this field if you're processing multiple state returns for this client. If applicable, the state uses this information to determine part-year residency status. Enter the state postal code or select the code from the dropdown list.
Enter the dates for which the shareholder was a resident of the part-year state above. Use this field if you are processing multiple state returns for this client. If applicable, the state uses this information to determine part-year residency status.
Use this for supplemental information specific to each shareholder and for items that are not pro-rata. If you have pro-rata items that need to be reported to each shareholder, use Section A in the
AZKSep
screen. UltraTax CS prints the information you enter in this statement in the Schedule K-1(NR) statements.

Enter the appropriate filing status to indicate if the shareholder is filing single, married filing joint, married filing separate, or head of household. UltraTax CS uses this information to calculate the tax due on Form 140NR - Arizona Nonresident Personal Income Tax Return. Enter the code for the filing status from the following table or choose the code from the dropdown list.
