Net Operating Loss Modification and Carryover

Adjusted Federal Income (Loss)
Enter the adjusted federal taxable income for the corresponding years. The adjusted federal taxable income is calculated on Form 500, line 4 for a corresponding year.
Net Add Modification (Foreign Div Subtr)
Enter net addition modification amounts as positive numbers and foreign dividend subtractions amounts as negative numbers for the corresponding years. A Maryland net addition modification is defined in Administrative Release 18 as the amount that the addition modification exceeds the subtraction modifications in a loss year as shown on Form 1120. The Maryland net addition modification is calculated on Form 500, line 9 for a corresponding year.
(Modification Recap) Foreign Div Subtr Utilized
Enter the amount of the net addition modification that has already been recaptured in previous years on Form 500, line 7c as a Net addition modification as a negative amount. Or enter the amount of the foreign dividend subtraction that has been utilized in prior years. The amount of foreign dividend subtraction already utilized in prior years should be entered as a positive number.
Prior Year (Income Offset) NOL Utilized
Enter the amount of NOL utilized on the Maryland tax return as a negative amount for the corresponding years. Net operating losses that were carried back to offset the income in any of the corresponding years should be entered as a positive number.

Enter information regarding net operating loss adjustments in the statement window. This information prints as an attachment to the return.
