Electronic funds withdrawal for returns
If this field is marked, the application generates an electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) payment in the 1120 Massachusetts composite electronic file for the amount of the composite return’s balance due.
note
Funds are withdrawn the next business day.
note
To instruct the client to pay by electronic funds transfer instead of direct debit, leave this field blank.
Amount of tax payment (Force)
Enter an amount if only a partial payment if the return balance due is being made through electronic funds withdrawal. If this field is blank, the application uses the total balance due on the composite return for the electronic funds withdrawal amount.

Extension Information

Extension filed online via MassTaxConnect
Enter
X
if the preparer has already filed the composite extension online via MassTaxConnect. If this field is marked, the creation of the composite extension electronic file is suppressed.
Electronic funds withdrawal for extension: Requested payment date
Enter the required information in this field to generate the electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit) payment in the 1120 Massachusetts composite electronic extension file. Use this field to generate the Massachusetts composite electronic funds withdrawal for balance due extensions only. Electronic filing allows electronic filers with a balance due to authorize a direct transfer from their checking account. Using this feature, electronic filers can file early and set a date for automatic payment if there is a balance due.
note
In addition to entering the requested payment date, you must also enter bank account information in Screen MABank.

Estimate Information

Electronic funds withdrawal for composite estimated payments
If this field is marked, the application generates an electronic funds withdrawal payment in the Massachusetts composite electronic file for all applicable composite estimate payments that have an amount due greater than zero. Enter estimate information in Screen MACEst.
Withdrawal dates for composite estimates, if different from estimated due dates: 1st - 4th payment
Enter a date earlier than the quarterly due date for the electronic funds withdrawal for the respective quarter’s composite estimate amount. If the field is blank, the application uses the due date of the estimate.

Additional Estimate Information

Electronic funds withdrawal for additional estimate payments
To specify additional estimated tax payments to be electronically withdrawn when electronically filing a composite amended return, enter the dates and amounts in these fields.
note
  • Additional estimate payments are in addition to estimates included with the original return, and do not replace them.
  • The estimate is processed immediately if the date specified is earlier than the transmission date.
