Screen MIUMemb - Michigan Unitary Member Information (1120)

Overview

Use this screen to complete Form 4897 - Michigan Corporate Income Tax Data on Unitary Business Group Members, Form 4910 - Michigan Corporate Income Tax Unitary Business Group Combined Filing Schedule for Financial Institutions, and Form 4896 - Michigan Corporate Income Tax Unitary Business Group Affiliates Excluded from the Return of standard Taxpayers.
The MIUMemb screen is a multiple-unit input screen. The first unit of the input screen is always for the designated member responsible for filing the state return on behalf of the unitary business group. A separate unit of the unitary input screens should be added for each member corporation. For each member, a unique unit number is assigned to the input screens in the Unitary folder.

Enter the membership dates for the member’s Form 4897, or for the financial unitary business group member’s Form 4910, Page 2.

For a standard unitary business group, the application uses this information to select the checkbox on the member’s Form 4897 and to calculate the member’s Form 4897, line 11. For a financial unitary business group, the application uses this information to select the checkbox on the member’s Form 4910, Page 2.

Sales and Gross Receipts

Enter the gross receipts for the member’s Form 4897. If entering gross receipts for a short or fiscal period, enter the annualized gross receipts in this box.
