E-file an amended return

To file an amended New York return electronically, enter any payment made with the original return in the Tax paid with (or after) original return
field in either the NYAmendC screen or the NYAmendS screen.

If you're making a payment with the amended return, the amount needs to be different than the amount paid with the original return. Enter the payment date in the Requested payment date
field of the NYELF screen.
