Signature date
If you select the
use current date
option for the When Form 8879 (etc.) signature date(s) are not entered
field in the Setup, Office Configuration, Print Options tab, you do not need to complete the Signature date
field. UltraTax CS updates this field when you enter a signature date in the date field next to the Create electronic file
box in the File then Print Returns dialog.ERO signature date
Enter an ERO signature date to complete the date the ERO signed the return on Form 8453-X or 8879-EX; this date is not included in the electronic file. If left blank, the date you enter in the
Signature date
field is used.Preparer notes
Enter any information that is not part of the general footnote or an election statement that you want to include as an explanation for other data you entered within the electronic filing record.
Form 8453-EX or 8879-EX has already been signed and returned
If you mark this field, Form 8453 or Form 8879 will not print, and information stating that the form has already been signed and returned and no further action is required will print on the filing instructions.
