R0000-055-02 e-file error

The number of return documents (forms, schedules, and supporting documents) included in the return must be equal to the value of the 'documentCnt' attribute of the ReturnData
Either you have an electronic funds withdrawal request and you're missing signature information, or you need to remove payment information. This is because signature information is only required for returns with electronic funds withdrawal.

Solution

If you don’t have an electronic funds withdrawal request:
  1. Go to the
    Electronic Filing input
     folder.
  2. Open the
    ELF
     screen.
  3. Delete any information from the following fields in the Extension Information section:
    • Signature date
    • Taxpayer PIN
    • ERO PIN
    • Form 8453-EO or 8879-EO signed and returned
    • Requested payment date
  4. Recreate and retransmit the return.
If you do have an electronic funds withdrawal request, follow the instructions for the form you're filing:
  • If you're filing an 8879-EO
    1. Go to the
      Electronic Filing input
       folder.
    2. Complete the following fields:
      • Signature date
      • Taxpayer PIN
      • ERO PIN
      • Form 8453-EO or 8879-EO signed and returned
      • Requested payment date
    3. Recreate and retransmit the return.
  • If you're filing an 8453-EO
    1. Remove any data entry in the Personal Identification Number (PIN) Information section.
    2. Print the 8453-EO and have the signature officer complete and sign the form.
    3. Open the
      Edit
       menu, then select
      Electronic Filing Attachments
      .
    4. Select
      Add
      .
    5. In the
      Product
       field, select
      Federal
      .
    6. In the
      Return
      field, select
      Extension
      .
    7. In the
      Attachment title
       field, choose
      8453 Signature Document
       from the list.
    8. Select
      File
       under Attachment file source.
    9. Select the
      Browse
       button to go to the location of the document you want to attach.
    10. Select
      OK
       until you leave the window.
    11. Recreate and retransmit the return.
