Transmittal Letters and Filing Instructions

Use the Custom paragraph boxes to choose a custom paragraph to display in a transmittal letter or filing instructions for this client’s return, then enter a description that corresponds to the paragraph in the client document. Use the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) boxes if the organization qualifies or wants to submit payment under the EFTPS.
Salutation
Enter the client’s name as it should appear in the salutation of the transmittal letter. Don't include greetings such as "Dear."
Mailing address for filing instructions
Choose the mailing address to display in the filing instructions. The default is to display both addresses in the filing instructions and display the standard mailing address on the slipsheet.

Miscellaneous Variables and Mailing Slipsheet

Miscellaneous variables
The Letter screen contains four
Miscellaneous
boxes: two boxes for defining miscellaneous text variables and two boxes for defining miscellaneous amount variables. Use these variables in segments of transmittal letters, filing instructions, and invoices when the desired variable is not available.
Attention to whom return should be mailed
For purposes of the client mailing slipsheet and mailing labels only, enter text to direct the mailing envelope to the attention of a specific person. "Attn:" automatically precedes the text you enter.
