Contributor Information > Contribution tab (990)

Use this tab to enter cash and non-cash contributions reportable on Schedule B for both Form 990 and 990-PF.

Contribution Amounts

Portion included in fundraising events
Enter the amount of cash contributions that have already been reported in the Event-2 or Even-2PF screens. Do not duplicate amounts entered in the previous box, Cash Contribution.
Type
Select the code from the dropdown list to describe the type of contribution. UltraTax CS defaults the type of contribution to Person. UltraTax CS needs this information for Schedule B, Part I, column (d).
Non-cash contributions
Enter the date received, description, noncash value, and fair market value (if different) for each non-cash contribution. Enter
X
if the item was contributed at a special event and also reported in the total in the Event-2 screen or the Even-2PF screen. Use multiple lines for descriptions, as needed.

Other Information

Contribution type
Select the description of the type of contribution from the drop-down list. UltraTax CS defaults to Other. UltraTax CS needs this information for Form 990, Part VIII, line 1. This information is not applicable to Form 990-PF.
Designated for donor advised fund
Select the type of contribution from the drop-down list for organizations that maintain donor advised funds or other similar funds or accounts. UltraTax CS needs this information for Schedule D (Form 990), Page 1, Part I.
Contribution is from a government entity (State Use only)
Use this box only if you are preparing a return with UltraTax/990-NY. Mark this checkbox if the contribution is received from a governmental entity. UltraTax CS uses this information on New York Form CHAR 500, Page 3.
Include contribution on Schedule B when other than Sec 501(c)(7),(8), or (10) exempt org (Force)
UltraTax CS automatically determines whether the contribution entered is required to be reported on Schedule B. Mark this checkbox to force a contribution to Schedule B. This box is applicable only to exempt organizations other than section 501(c)(7), (8), or (10).
