Log status events for a single client

Complete the following steps to log status events for the open UltraTax CS client. You can sort client lists in the
Open Client
,
Select Clients to Print
,
Client Status
, and
Client Listing
windows using logged status events. You can also generate a Client Status Report that will list the logged events for the selected client.
  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Open Client
    , and select the client you want to log status events for.
  2. Select
    Utilities
    , then
    Client Status
    to open the
    Client Status
    window.
  3. In the
    Log Event
    tab, select the
    Events
    from the list for one or more events you want to log for the current client. The event you select will appear in the
    Event History
    list along with the log date and time and the user who logged each event.
  4. Once you have logged all events for the current client, select
    Done
    to close the
    Client Status
    window.
tip
  • To modify the date and/or time an event was logged, select the event in the
    Event History
    list, then select
    Edit
    . Enter the date and/or time in the
    Date
    and/or
    Time
    fields.
  • To remove an event that you previously logged for a client, select that event in the
    Event History
    list, then select
    Delete
    .
  • To configure status warnings for specific events, use
    Discourage Access
    (opened from
    Setup
    ,
    Office Configuration
    , then the
    Status
    tab). You can also set these warnings to require the master password or honor security privileges to open the client.
