Upload UltraTax items to Onvio

Upload tax returns

Follow these steps to upload tax returns from UltraTax CS to Onvio.
  1. With the client's return open in UltraTax CS, select
    File
    , then
    Print Returns
    .
  2. Select the options in this window to determine which copies of the return to print, the destinations for each copy, and so on.
  3. Follow these steps to send the return to Onvio.
    • To send the client copy of the return to the Onvio Client Center:
      1. Mark the
        Client copy
         checkbox.
      2. Mark
        Electronic delivery
         and select
        Web
        .
      3. Select
        Assemble
        .
      4. Select
        OK
         to close the confirmation window after UltraTax CS finishes uploading the tax return.
      5. Select CS Connect to open CS Connect.
      6. In the Web Delivery section, make sure
        Transmit Returns
         is marked
        Yes
        . If you turned on the eSignature feature, this option is named
        Transmit returns and eSignature documents
        .
      7. Select the
        Web Delivery
         tab.
      8. Select the client whose return you just assembled, then
        Select
        .
      9. Select
        Connect
         to upload the tax return to Onvio Client Center.
    • To send the preparer copy to your Onvio Documents:
      1. Mark the
        Preparer copy
         checkbox, then mark
        Onvio Documents
        .
      2. Select
        To Onvio
         or
        Assemble
         to upload the tax return. Note that this button name may change depending on the selections in this window.
      3. If UltraTax CS prompts you to sign in to Onvio, enter your Onvio user name and password and select
        OK
        .
      4. If you have Onvio Link installed: starting with UltraTax CS 2020, a window will appear to confirm the documents you're sending to Onvio and you can rename the document name. This can help prevent overriding any documents you previously sent to Onvio. Once confirmed, select
        Send
        .
      5. Select
        OK
         to close the confirmation after UltraTax CS finishes uploading the tax return.
