You can print a
Blank Organizer
for 1040 clients that don't have pre-existing data. Normally, client
Organizer
pages only print when they have data, which comes from
proforma'd
information or data entry in the
Organizer
screens. This feature helps you get around that for new clients. Printing a
Blank Organizer
can also be helpful when customizing the default
Organizer
. It helps you review each page so you can decide if you want to make changes or exclude it from the package.

Print a
Blank Organizer
(not client specific)

Before you start creating
Organizers
for your clients, we recommend you review all possible items that could be part of the package. This will help you decide what package you want to use, and if you want to customize anything further.
To print a
Blank Organizer
not specific to a client:
  1. Select
    Utilities
    , then
    Blank Forms/Input Screens
    .
  2. Select
    1040/U.S. Organizer
    from the
    Product
    dropdown.
  3. Select
    Options
    to change what prints.
  4. Select
    Print
    when you're ready for the output.
Once reviewed, you can add or remove items in the print collation. Select
Setup
,
1040 Individual
,
Organizer
, then
Organizer
.

Print a
Blank Organizer
for a specific client

There may be times when you want to print a
Blank Organizer
for a 1040 client. This is most common for new clients.
Follow these steps to print a
Blank Organizer
for a specific client:
  1. Open the client in
    UltraTax CS
    .
  2. Optional: You can enter some preliminary demographic information in the
    General
    folder. Entering the
    City, state, zip
    will determine what state organizer is part of the
    Blank Organizer
    package.
  3. Select
    View
    , then
    Client Organizer
    .
  4. Go to the
    Contact
    screen located in the
    General
    folder.
  5. Mark the
    Print blank client organizer (For clients who do not have proforma'd information)
    checkbox. You can select this to print or electronically send a
    Blank Organizer
    to your new clients who don't have
    proforma'd
    or pre-existing data. This includes emailing a PDF of the organizer or printing it to the web.

Print a default
Blank Organizer
package for all new clients

Complete the following steps to print, email, or transmit blank organizers globally for all new clients who do not have
proforma'd
information. Note that this procedure applies only to
Classic
and
Lite Organizer
packages. You can also customize the
Blank Organizer
package to determine which forms you would like it to include.
  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    1040 Individual
    , then the
    Organizer
    tab.
  2. Mark the
    Print blank Client Organizer
    checkbox in the
    New Client Options
    section.
  3. Select
    OK
    . All new clients added after marking this option will have an
    X
    in the
    Print blank client organizer
    field on the
    Contact
    screen.
