Screen MFGen - Maryland Personal Property Tax

Overview

Use this screen to complete general information questions for Form 1 and Form 2.

Federal-to-state input screen and asset module data transfer

If information is transferred from federal input screens or from the asset module to a state input screen, the application displays the transferred data in blue.
If necessary, you can overrule the transferred amount by entering the amount in the field. The application then displays the new amount in black.

General Information

Use this section to record general information for the client’s Maryland PPT return.

to force UltraTax CS to use data from the MD treatment column in Fixed Assets CS or the asset module in UltraTax CS.
Enter the business name for Form 1.
Select the applicable code from the dropdown to indicate if this return is filed by the taxpayer, the spouse, or filed jointly. If you leave this field blank, UltraTax CS defaults to the taxpayer.

Enter the trading-as name for Form 1.
Enter the Employer Identification Number.
Enter the business address.

Enter the state in which the business is incorporated.
Use this dropdown to select the type of business.
Enter the department identification number. UltraTax CS inserts a default prefix based on the type of corporation.
Use this dropdown to select if a business is conducted in Maryland. If you leave this field blank UltraTax CS defaults to Yes.
Mark this field if the return that you are filing is not an initial return. If you mark this field, UltraTax CS automatically prints the amended return address on the filing instructions. If you leave this field blank, UltraTax CS prints the initial return address on the filing instructions.
In this statement dialog, enter any supplemental information that should be included with the return.

Return Information

Use this section to complete return information for Form 1 and Form 2.
Use this field to force the total gross sales amount. This field defaults to federal gross sales.
Information entered in this statement dialog transfers to the first unit only of Page 3, Section III. If additional space is needed, the information prints on an attached statement.
