Print Input Screens dialog

Use this dialog to print a client's input screens on paper or to create an electronic copy of the input screens in PDF format. You can also store a copy of the client's input screens in FileCabinet CS (if licensed), GoFileRoom (if licensed), or File Drawer.&
Tip:
& Input screen print collations are determined in the Setup, [Entity], Input Screens, then Input Screen Printing dialog. To override the collation setup for this print job only, select the Options button, select the desired forms and schedules, and choose OK.
To open this dialog, choose File then Print Input Screens.
From this dialog, you can also open other dialogs in which you can perform the following tasks.
  • To define print collations for input screens, select the Input Screens button in the Product Information dialog and choose Input Screen Printing. Select the Options button in the Print Input Screens dialog to override the print collation for this one print job.
  • Select the clients for whom you want to print input screens.

Fields & buttons

Print destinations group box

Unless you are printing to the UltraTax CS Spool, this field displays the printer you selected in UltraTax CS or the default printer you have set up for Windows applications. To change the printer to which UltraTax CS prints, select the Printer button.
Select this button to open the Select Printer dialog in which you can change the default printer for UltraTax CS or choose the UltraTax CS Spool for this print job.
Use this drop-down list to choose the FileCabinet CS data location (when printing to FileCabinet CS) or the GoFileRoom drawer (when printing to GoFileRoom) where you want to store the selected documents. This field is available only if you mark the
FileCabinet CS
or
GoFileRoom
checkbox, are licensed for FileCabinet CS or GoFileRoom, and have one of the two applications installed.
This field displays the location where UltraTax CS will store input screens printed to PDF. Select the Browse button adjacent to this field to select the destination for the PDF file.

Other fields and buttons

Mark this checkbox to print the client's input screens to paper via the printer specified in the Print destinations group box.
Mark this checkbox to store copies of the selected documents in either FileCabinet CS or GoFileRoom, if licensed.
Mark this checkbox if you want to store copies of the selected documents in File Drawer. To access the copies, select the
Drawer
button in the folders block of an open client in UltraTax CS.
Mark this checkbox to print the selected client(s) input screens to a PDF file that UltraTax CS will store in the location specified in the Print destinations group box.
Mark the checkbox if you want to update the client's status when you print. Use the drop-down list to select the status event that you want to log when the client is printed.
To specify the number of copies you want to print, enter a number (up to 9) in this field or use the arrows to increase or decrease the number.
By default, UltraTax CS prints the items based on the collation set in the Input Screen Printing dialog. Select this button to open the Print Options dialog, which you can use to select different items to print for the open client.&
Select this button to open the Select Clients to Print dialog, in which you can choose the clients whose input screens you want to print. By default, UltraTax CS will print the open client's input screens.
If you are printing items for two or more clients at the same time, you cannot modify the print collation for this print job.
Select this button to preview input screens before you print them.
