Add a client-specific paragraph for one client

You can insert client-specific paragraph text into a letter or filing instructions. Client-specific paragraph text only prints for the open client. All other clients' letters and filing instructions stay the same.
Use the following procedure to insert a client-specific paragraph into a client document for a single client of a particular entity (for example, 1040 or 1120).
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    1040 Individual
    (or other Federal product).
  2. On the
    Federal
    tab, go to the client document type you want (transmittal letter, filing instructions, etc.).
  3. Open the client document.
  4. Place your cursor where you want to insert the custom paragraph.
  5. Select
    Insert
    , then
    Embedded Content
    , then
    Client Specific Paragraph
    .
  6. Select
    Document
    , then
    Exit
    , and then
    Yes
    to save your changes.
  7. Select
    OK
    to leave the
    Product Information
    window.
  8. Open the client.
  9. Select
    Edit
    , then
    Client Specific Paragraph
    , and enter your text.
  10. Select
    Document
    , then
    Exit
    , and then
    Yes
    to save your changes.
  11. Preview the letter or filing instructions to view your text.
