Finalize preparation

After you Verify your clients’ documents, clients will show in the Finalize Preparation task. This task is where you can view non-standard documents your clients have uploaded documents like donation receipts, charitable contributions, etc. Our powerful AI-generated document classification and suggested input screen tool helps identify the type of non-standard document uploaded while the suggested input screens determines the appropriate tax forms that need to be filled out for the client’s situation.
To get started:
This task is where the review of nonstandard documents that have been uploaded is done. You can go through each nonstandard document, check for data that needs to be entered into the tax return and mark each document as completed once the data entry has been done
  1. In Review Ready, select the
    Finalize preparation
    task.
  2. In the
    Actions
    column, select
    Review documents
    for the client whose nonstandard documents you want to review.
  3. For each page of the document, AI will determine the document classification type and up to four suggested input screens with a tooltip explaining why the suggested input screen was generated.
    1. You can provide feedback with the
      Thumbs up
      or
      Thumbs down
      buttons. Your feedback will help us continually improve our AI-generated suggested input screens and categorizations. If you don't agree with the suggested input screens you can select the
      Thumbs down
      icon to provide more feedback on our suggestions.
  4. After you complete the input screens, select
    Done
    to finish.
  5. At the final page, select
    Complete
    to finalize the preparation for your client.
  6. Confirm that you entered any relevant data into UltraTax CS then your client will move to the
    View Completed
    task.
