Desktop setup troubleshooting

If the desktop setup won't run, do the following steps.

Restart your workstation.

Right-click the setup.exe
file and select Run as administrator
. If you don't see that option:

Select Properties
from the context menu instead.

Select the Compatibility
tab.

In the Settings
section, mark the Run this program as an administrator
checkbox.

Select OK
.

Log-on as the administrator or a user with administrative rights. You can also try using the Hidden Administrator account.

Create antivirus exceptions. Don't temporarily turn off your antivirus as an alternative.

Create firewall exceptions. Don't temporarily turn off your firewall as an alternative.

Set Windows permissions.
