Set up your domain MX records

note
Thomson Reuters has stopped creating
new
email domains in the Virtual Office CS and SaaS environments. You can continue creating new user email addresses for
existing
domains in these environments until
support for Hosted Exchange ends on
August 31, 2026
.
MX records are responsible for the delivery of emails. If you use Virtual Office CS or SaaS Microsoft Exchange, you'll have to update your MX records to ensure successful mail delivery.

Contact your domain host to configure your domain

You'll need to configure your domain to receive Virtual Office CS/SaaS Microsoft Exchange Email. If you registered your domain name with a provider other than Thomson Reuters, contact the domain host and have them to make the following changes.
  • Virtual Office CS or SaaS Microsoft Exchange customers should direct their domain host to change only their domain's MX records.
  • If Thomson Reuters manages your domain name, we’ll complete this process for you.
Host
Address/Points to/Mail server
Priority
@
mailcsi1.westgroup.com
10
@
mailcsi2.westgroup.com
10
These changes are not immediate. It may take 24 hours for this change to be effective, depending on your domain host's configuration.
note
  • To minimize email downtime, you may want to wait until you have confirmation from Thomson Reuters that we have everything set up on our servers before you transition your MX (mail exchanger) records to our servers
  • While Thomson Reuters recommends an MX priority value of 10 for each MX record, you may use another value if 10 is not possible. As long as the MX priority values are equally weighted (have the same value) your email should function normally.
