Add a network printer as a local printer
- Select theStartbutton, then selectSettings.
- SelectDevices, then selectPrinters & scanners.
- SelectAdd a printer or scanner, then selectThe printer that I want isn't listed.
- Mark theAdd a printer using TCP/IP address or hostnamecheckbox, then selectNext.
- SelectTCP/IP Devicefrom theDevice typedropdown.
- Enter the IP address of the printer in theHostname or IP addressfield, then selectNext.
- Make sure theQuery the printer and automatically select the driver to usecheckbox is marked, then selectNext.
- If you get a version conflict message asking which version of the driver to use, selectUse the driver that is currently installed (recommended), unless the local printer is being installed to test a different version of the drivers. You'll need to know the location of the test printer drivers.
