Client templates
You can use client templates to add new client records, set up common firm-level policies, and provide a time-saving mechanism across clients that are in similar industries. Client templates are automatically installed with new installations of Accounting CS, version 2013.1.0 or higher. If you already have a prior version of the application installed, do the following to download and restore the client templates.

The following sample client templates are available in the application.

- Medical Template (ACSMED01)
- Nonprofit Template (ACSNON01)

Download and restore the client templates
- Select the Accounting CS Client Templates ZIP file and download it to your local drive.
- When the download is complete, extract the files from the ZIP file and copy them intoX:\WINCSI\Accounting CS Data\Backup, (where X: is the drive location where Accounting CS Shared Files are installed).
- In the application, selectFilethenClient Data Management Utility.
- SelectRestorefrom the dropdown in theActionfield.
- Mark the checkbox next to the client template to restore, then selectRestore Selected.
- Repeat the previous step if you need to restore another template.

- You can restore only 1 client template at a time using the Client Data Management Utility.
- If you already have a version prior to 2013.1.0 of Accounting CS installed, be sure to create a folder calledBackupin theX:\WINCSI\Accounting CS Data\Datafolder before extracting the contents of the Accounting CS Template Clients ZIP file.
- To restore sample client templates in Accounting CS via Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS), selectBrowsein theClient Data Management Utilityscreen. In theBrowse For Folderwindow, select the plus sign (+) to expand the folders forComputerthenC$ (\\Client) (V:), and then go to the application's backup folder location on your local drive.
