screen to view, add, modify, and delete payables and credit memos. In Accounting CS, you create credit memo transactions in the same manner as you create payable transactions.
To access the screen, select
Actions
then
Enter Payables
.

If you set up amortization schedules for one or more vendors, those schedules are available for selection in the
Temp/Amort
field in the Detail tab.
Tabs available on the screen
On the
Rapid
tab, you can enter multiple payables and credit memos in quick-entry mode.
On the
Detail
tab, you can enter detailed, individual transactions.
Whatever tab you choose, the application simultaneously adds that information to the other tab, so you can switch between tabs as you enter transactions.
Work in the screen
The
Enter Payables
screen includes search and filter fields to help you navigate the list of transactions.
Use
Search
to search for a particular transaction.
Use the
Primary
filter field to limit the transactions to current-period transactions only, open balance transactions only, or both.
Use the
Filter
to specify filter criteria.
By default, the
Rapid
tab includes only the first 49 transactions plus a blank row for adding new transactions. If the client has more than 49 transactions, the application displays a "Results Limited" alert and a
Get More Items
option in the upper corners of the screen. Select
Get More Items
to retrieve the next 50 transactions for this client.
The status bar displays information about the transactions entered in the
Enter Payables
screen.
Last payable.
Displays the transaction date and the gross amount for the last payable that was entered for the vendor that is selected for this transaction.
Net income effect.
Displays the effect that the current payable or credit memo will have on the net income.
Vendor balance.
Displays the open balance for the vendor that is selected for this transaction, but it does not include the current transaction amount.
Transaction count.
Displays the total number of transactions that are currently displayed in the Enter Payables screen.
Select
Add
to open a blank transaction record.
Select
Delete
to delete a transaction.

If any payments have been applied to this transaction, the application prompts you to confirm that you want to delete it. If you select
Yes
, the application unapplies all applied payments before it deletes it.
Select
Void
to void a transaction.

, the application unapplies all applied payments before it voids it.
Select
Enter
to save the transaction.
Select
Cancel
to return the transaction to its previous state without saving any changes. For new transactions, it closes the transaction record without saving any information.
