If your client uses Bill.com to pay their bills, you can export data (bills and bill payment transactions) from their Bill.com account to a spreadsheet. You can then import data from the spreadsheet into the application.
Stage 1: Export from Bill.com
Sign in to your client's Bill.com account.
Select
Reports
.
In Export Reports:
Choose
Cash Detail Report
if your client is a cash-basis client in the application.
Choose
Accrual Detail Report
if your client is an accrual-basis client in the application.
Specify the date range for export.
You can mark the
Show bill description
checkbox to include a description of each bill in the exported data
Select
Download
.
Enter a filename and choose a destination, then select
Save.
Stage 2: Prepare and import the file
note
Bill.com exports data as a CSV file. You'll need to convert this to XLS or XLSX format before importing it to the application.
Open the CSV file from Excel.
Save it as an XLS or XLSX file.
