Enable the Accounts Receivable service for client staff
Accounting CS Client Access
If your client will use Accounting CS to process accounts receivable in their own office, you must first enable the Accounting CS Client Access service for the client, and then select a service that includes Accounts Receivable.
To enable the Accounting CS Client Access service for a client, you must mark the
Enable Client Access
checkbox in the Client Access Services
section of the Add Client
dialog or the Add/Remove Services dialog and then select the appropriate Client Access services for the client.note
The Accounting CS Client Access service is available only to clients of accounting firms that run Accounting CS in the Virtual Office CS or the Software as a Service (SaaS) environment and firms that use their own hosted environments.
After you enable the Client Access service for the client, you'll need to enable the applicable security points (including accounts receivable) for client security groups, and then select those security groups for the client staff who will be doing the accounts receivable processing.
- SelectSetup, thenClients.
- Select the client in theClientslist and selectEdit.
- In theMaintab, select the ellipsis in theServicessection.
- In theAdd/Remove Serviceswindow, select theEnable Client Accesscheckbox.
- Select either theClient AccountingorFull Service Bundleoption, and then mark theAccounts Receivablecheckbox.
- SelectOKto save the changes and return to theClientsscreen.
- In theClientsscreen, selectEnterto save the client record with the Accounts Receivable service enabled. TheClientsscreen should now include theAccounts Receivabletab.
- Select theAccounts Receivabletab and specify AR options for the client.
- SelectEnterto save the client record.
- Select .
- Select the client security group for which you want to enable access to the accounts receivable features.
- SelectEditorAddto add a new client security group.
- Select theAccounts Receivabletab and mark the checkbox for each accounts receivable feature that you want to enable for this client security group.
- SelectEnterto save those changes.
- Repeat steps 10 and 11 for each client security group for which you want to enable access to the AR features.
- Select .
- Select the client staff member for whom you want to enable the AR features.
- SelectEdit.
- Select theSecuritytab.
- In theMember of groupslist, mark the checkbox for the appropriate client security groups with AR access.
- SelectEnterto save the client staff record.
