Enter used accruable benefit hours on payroll checks
You can enter an employee's accruable benefit hours used correctly on the
Enter Transactions
screen or the Enter Batch Payroll Checks
screen.When an employee uses an accruable benefit and the hours are entered correctly on the payroll check, accruable benefit balances are affected as follows.
- Used hours are increased.
- Available hours are decreased.
Enter used accruable benefit hours in the Enter Transactions screen
- When you enter payroll check information in the Pay section on theMaintab, use the horizontal scroll bar to scroll to the right. To the right of the Reg Hours, OT Hours, and DT Hours columns, you'll find the columns for the employee's first 2 accruable benefit items.
- Enter the number of used accruable benefit hours in the appropriate column, in the same way that you would enter overtime hours worked.
- To enter hours for more than 2 accruable benefit items, select the ellipsis next to the pay item description to open thePayroll Item Distributionswindow.

- By default, theRapidtab displays columns for the 1st 2 accruable benefit items in your list under each pay item, to the right of the OT and/or DT Hours columns.noteYou can use theEnter Batch Payroll Check Optionswindow to customize the number of accruable benefit items (and other payroll items) that display in theRapidtab grid.
- Enter the number of used accruable benefit hours in the appropriate column.
- To enter hours for more than 2 accruable benefit items, select theDetailtab.
- In the Pay section, select the ellipsis to the right of the pay item description.
- ThePayroll Item Distributionswindow contains the columns for the accruable benefit items that didn’t fit in theRapidtab. Enter the hours in the appropriate column.noteEnter used accrual benefit hours as hours, not amounts.
