Show a VOID watermark for 0 dollar checks
Use the following steps to add a VOID watermark to a check layout to display when the net check amount is zero, such as when you're printing check stubs for checks that were direct deposited.
- SelectSetup,Bank Accounts, then verify you selected the correct client.
- Select theLayoutstab and make a note of what's selected in thePayrollfield.
- SelectFile, thenLayout Designerand open thePayrollfolder.
- Double-click the payroll check layout you made a note of earlier.
- SelectInsert, thenText Box.
- Select and drag to create a space for the watermark to appear on the check region.
- Enter the word VOID, or another word that you want to display on the check.
- Select the cursor icon on the toolbar, then select somewhere on the layout that's not your text box.
- Select the text box you inserted to select it.
- SelectFormat, thenTextand change the font, size, and color (select something different than black).
- In the Transparency field, move the slider to the right to increase the transparency of the text.
- SelectOKto close the window.
- Select and drag the border of the text box to change its size, then move it so the word VOID displays in the desired location.
- SelectInsert, thenConditional Expression.
- Insert a conditional expression using a variable that says[Payroll.Check.NetPay.NetCheckAmount] = 0.00.If true, print element; if false, complete condition.
- SelectOK. The application notifies you when it's applied the condition.
- SelectFile, thenSaveto save your changes to the layout. If you chooseFile, thenSave As, remember to update theBank Accountsscreen with the new layout.
