Migrate from Accounting CS to Workpapers CS

Do the following to migrate from Accounting CS to Workpapers CS:

Please note that once Workpapers CS is installed, the features for Workpapers CS will be the only features available.  Any features associated with any other Accounting CS service (Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Payroll Compliance) will no longer be accessible.
  1. Make sure both Accounting CS and Workpapers CS are on the same, latest version.
  2. Back up your Accounting CS data.
  3. Make note of the SQL instance name Accounting CS uses.
  4. Uninstall Accounting CS and its shared files:
    1. On your computer, select
      Start
      , then
      Programs and Features
      .
    2. Select
      Accounting CS
      , then
      Uninstall
      .
    3. Do the same for Accounting CS Shared Files.
    4. If you can't find Shared Files, uninstall it from the server.
    5. Repeat this on all computers with Accounting CS.
  5. Install Workpapers CS:
    1. In Step 2, select
      Use an existing instance
       and choose the SQL instance you noted earlier.
    2. If you create a new SQL instance, restore your backup from step 2.
  6. Go to
    Help
     then
    About
     and download the latest licenses.
  7. Check your staff setup and security groups.
  8. Turn on services for your clients in
    Setup
     then
    Clients
    .
